Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation has reacted to reports that the military junta that ousted President Mohamed Bazoum in Niger Republic has now agreed to dialogue with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Recall that the military junta had told an Islamic delegation from Nigeria that its doors are now open for dialogue and a diplomatic resolution of the crisis amid economic sanctions from ECOWAS.

The coup leaders also claimed that they ousted President Mohamed Bazoum because he was set to do things that would have affected both Niger and Nigeria.

Reacting in a Twitter post via his verified Twitter handle on Monday, Fani-Kayode said Nigerians should sit back and enjoy the “drama unfold” since the coup leaders said they are ready for dialogue with ECOWAS.

Fani-Kayode also berated President Alhassan Outarra of Ivory Coast and other African leaders who wanted to use Nigeria to fight their dirty battles and who brought the nation to start a war with Niger.

He wrote: “Niger Republic is now ready for dialogue with ECOWAS, and they have revealed that they ousted the former President because he was set to do things that would have affected both Niger and Nigeria.

“Someone pass the popcorn whilst we sit back comfortably to hear more and watch this movie unfold.

“Meanwhile, shame on President Alhassan Outarra of the Ivory Coast and all the other war-mongering, blood-lusting French stooges, puppets and poodles who wanted to use our country to fight their dirty battles and who brought us to the brink of war with a friendly neighbour.”
