Popular Nigerian artiste, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy has said that schools in Nigeria do not teach citizens their true history
He said the schools focus on teaching the white man’s history and about the Queen of England rather than what happened in African centuries ago.
Speaking in an interview, Burna Boy said that the education system teaches its people that they are powerless and makes them feel inferior to the western world.
He stressed that children and youths are taught things that are of no significance to Nigerians, adding that he wants the history of Nigeria before colonisers came to start being taught.
