President Bola Tinubu has reacted to the demise of a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba.

He sympathized with the Na’Abba family, as well as the government and people of Kano State, over the loss.

Ajuri Ngelale, presidential spokesperson, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

Na’Abba, the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003, died on Wednesday.

Reacting to his death, Tinubu expressed profound grief at the loss, recalling the contributions of the late ex-lawmaker to nation-building through legislation, advocacy and policy.

Tinubu hailed Na’Abba’s determined struggle to defend the functionality and role of the legislature in governance, describing him as a disciplined and committed politician.

The President prayed for the repose of the departed’s soul and comfort for those who mourn his passing.
