The clearance operation was conducted at some identified terrorist hideouts in Tazame, Mashema, Gandaya, Maje, Doka villages and surrounding forest in Gandaya village of Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.

 

Four terrorists in Zamfara State forests have been neutralized by troops of the Joint Task Force North West Operation Hadarain Daji, OPHD.

They were neutralized during a coordinated clearance operation.

A statement issued by the OPHD spokesman, Captain Ibrahim Yahaya, said the clearance operation was conducted at some identified terrorist hideouts in Tazame, Mashema, Gandaya, Maje, Doka villages and surrounding forest in Gandaya village of Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.

“During the operation, four terrorists were neutralized as unconfirmed numbers of them escaped with gunshot wounds.

“However, the troops have recovered 57 rustled cattles, military camouflage uniforms, sleeping kits and Nine hundred thousand Naira cash from the terrorists’ enclaves.

“All the identified terrorist enclaves and makeshift camps were destroyed instantly during the operation,” the statement said.
