The little secret Iyanya shared is that his relationship with Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records was not a legally binding contract with any form of paper work.

The “Kukere” master revealed in a series of tweets that he never signed any papers to become a Mavin Records artiste. He joining the Don Jazzy-led music imprint was a makeshift idea. He acknowledged Jazzy gave him a free pass to join the team for the time. The whole idea was birth by The Temple Management Company boss Idris.

After making the revelation, Iyanya mentioned that he would be putting back new music back to back. He sure sounded like someone who has finally gotten things figured out about his music.
