Recall that the tribunal had ruled in favour of the APC when it declared its candidate, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, as the winner of the March 18 governorship election.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has resumed hearing of the appeal filed by Kano State Governor,  Abba Yusuf, challenging his removal by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

Recall that the tribunal had ruled in favour of the APC when it declared its candidate, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, as the winner of the March 18 governorship election.

Parties in the suit include Governor Yusuf and his party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), as well as Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
