Nigeria’s Central Bank has said it has no plan to introduce a new policy that will make $1 equal to N1.25.

 

This followed a viral report to that effect.

 

The apex bank made the announcement on its Twitter page while reacting to the viral report.

 

Reacting on Twitter, the apex bank wrote:

“The Central Bank of Nigeria would like to bring to your attention that the attached message currently circulating on social media is false and should be disregarded.”
