Former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has condemned the sacking of Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, by an Appeal Court.

He described it as unfortunate, unacceptable and a broad daylight heist.

The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja on Sunday, November 19, nullified the election of Caleb Mutfwang as the Governor of Plateau State. In a unanimous judgement led by Justice Okong Abang, the Appellate court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to withdraw his Certificate of Return and give it to the All Progress Congress Govenroship candidate, Nentawe Yiltwatda.

“The Court of Appeal Judgement against the electoral victory of the Plateau State Governor is unfortunate, unacceptable and condemnable. A broad daylight heist of the will of the people. The bench is becoming the coffin of democracy,
” he said.
