Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen will play against South Africa in tomorrow’s Semi-Final clash at the ongoing AFCON 2023.
According to TheNation, Osimhen was reportedly given the clearance to play in the game by the team’s medical staff.
Recall that Super Eagles travelled on Monday evening from Abidjan to Bouaké without the star striker as a result of abdominal discomfort.
The team’s media officer, Babafemi Raji, who confirmed the incident, said the team doctors had placed him under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him.
According to sources in Abidjan, Osimhen will join his teammates in Bouake after being declared fit and is expected to feature in the game
The Napoli striker has been an important part of the Eagles’ superb AFCON run so far starting all five matches in Côte d’Ivoire, scoring one goal and setting up Ademola Lookman against Cameroon.
