A former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has accused the Nigerian Police of seeking revenge against singer, Seun Kuti.

 

He made the accusation on his social media page.

 

He wrote:

 

Prosecutors of the @PoliceNG are asking for ex parte order to detain @realseunkuti for 21 days just to obtain his “statement” they also claimed the officer involved in the altercation is now in “coma” after he left Seun’s house and finished writing his report. There is institutional and historical grudge to be settled with the Kutis. They are not seeking justice just want to exact revenge. #Revolutionnow
