An order by the federal government banning the use of Twitter in Nigeria will not be obeyed by the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG.

This was made public by the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Twitter.

Recall that the federal government on Friday suspended Twitter operations in Nigeria.

The Attorney-general of the Federation, Abubakar Malami also ordered the prosecution of any Nigerian still using the micro-blogging site.

In a series of tweets on his personal twitter handle, Adeboye wrote; “The Redeemed Christian Church of God is domiciled in more than 170 Nations & Territories. The tweets here are in accordance to Article 19 of the UN universal declaration of Human Rights.”
