Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho has stated he never asked any royal father to beg on his behalf.

This comes after the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Adewale Akanbi said he will take Igboho to Buhari, as he asked the President to forgive the agitator.

Igboho had gone underground since operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) raided his residence in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State on July 1.

Oba Akanbi, in a letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, begged for forgiveness on behalf of Ighoho and promised to bring him to the Presidential Villa in Abuja soon for talks.

However, Igboho’s spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, in a post on his Facebook page, Koiki Media, on Sunday, said his principal did not ask any traditional ruler to speak on his behalf.

“Chief Sunday (Igboho) did not ask any royal father to speak on his behalf. His legal team is on his case,” Koiki wrote.

Koiki, in a live broadcast later, said those arrested at Igboho’s house were still being held by the DSS despite not being criminals and not violating any of the laws of the country.
