Headies Awards ‘Next Rated’ nominated singers Omah Lay and Tems have been charged to Court in Uganda.

The sad news over the weekend is that both singers were arrested by the police in Uganda shortly after they performed at a show.

The news of their arrest was published on Twitter by a top Ugandan police officer. It is gathered that the show where Omah Lay and Tems performed wasn’t authorised by the government and it breached social distancing rules due to covid-19.

Last night Omah Lay had allayed the fear of fans that everything would be fine while confirming his arrest.

Today, new update is that both Omah Lay and Tems were charged to court in Uganda. Some photos on the net showed Omah Lay and Tems making a formal appearance at the court.

The charges have been not been made public yet.
