Ace Canadian rapper, Aubrey Graham professionally known as Drake, has showered accolades on his former record label boss and mentor, Lil Wayne.

He paid tribute to Wayne during the Young Money Entertainment reunion at the 2022 edition of OVO Fest on Saturday, August 6th, 2022.

Drake recalled how Lil Wayne supported him and his mother with $30,000 at the start of his music career and he appreciated the Young Money founder for the gesture which he described as the most important money he’s ever received in his life.

The Grammy-winning singer got emotional on stage after Wizzy performed his hit tracks such as Mrs. Officer, Loyal, Steady Mobbin and A Milli.

Drake also known as 6god said the money he got from Wizzy was really helpful for the next six months and it changed life for his family.

Nicki Minaj, Drake and Wayne appeared on the stage for a half-hour set which was when he decided to appreciate Lil Wayne for the $30,000.

He also said that the Mirror hit-maker is the most selfless human being on earth.

He told Lil Wayne; ‘That’s the most important amount of money I’ve made in my life to date – you’re the most important man to each and every one of us. You are truly the most selfless man on planet earth.”

Drake baffled fans with his speedy recovery and the ability to show up considering he revealed earlier this month that he contracted COVID-19 for the second time.

On Monday, the artiste took to social media to announce the rescheduling of the highly anticipated Young Money Reunion show that after he tested positive for coronavirus.

In a lengthy statement the rapper released via his Instagram stories Monday morning, he told fans that he was ‘truly devastated.’

Meanwhile, also speaking on the relevance of the reunion, Nicki Minaj said; “When you’re at the top, and you always remember your moth******ing family, that’s character.”
