Ayra Starr has revealed how she got signed by Don Jazzy of Mavin Records.

When requested about how she began writing songs at an early age, Ayra Starr had this to say;

I began remixing songs after I was seven or eight, I’d remix Michael Jackson songs and I’d put my very own phrases. I’d take it to high school and act like that is my tune and other people can be like “you’re a liar, it’s not yours”. I’d put my very own phrases each time. Then me and my brother began writing songs after I was 10 and he was 9. Then after I was 12, my mother received us a guitar so we began correctly writing music. A tune from my album, I wrote after I was 14 and my brother was 13.
