Popular Nollywood actor, Frederick Leonard has taken to Instagram to react to an allegation of cyber fraud by a user.
The actor in the early hours of Thursday cleared the air after an Instagram user accused him of using his ‘daughter’ to scam people.
Reacting to the allegations, Federick expressed shock over the speculation that he has a daughter. The actor also stated that he is not a scammer and fake social media accounts are being created using his name and many people have fallen victim as these scammers keep impersonating him.
He wrote: “I Just Learned I have a Daughter somewhere A very Interesting Slide..I’LL WAIT. To My True Fans.. Beware of UNVERIFIED PAGES without the Blue Tick ! If “The Frederick Leonard” Truly Likes You & You Like him too, Make Sure U chat on a Verified Page, for Times Like This. Thank You. I’m clearly The Most Impersonated Actor In Africa.”
Federick also posted another Instagram account of an impersonator claiming to be his director of communications, distancing himself from the account.
He wrote: “DO NOT Know who this Retard is.. Or What this Account is Set up for. Do NOT INDULGE.”
