All satellite units of the Intelligence Response Crew and Particular Tactical Squad of the Nigerian Police has been closed down.

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba gave the order on Tuesday.

He gave the order hours after the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police and Head, Intelligence Response Crew of the Nigeria Police Power, Abba Kyari, was arrested alongside his accomplices over their alleged involvement in drug trafficking.

ONPOINT stories that all serving officers within the satellite units have been directed to report back to the Force Headquarters, Abuja for debriefing.

The Police source disclosed that officers in these units will probably be demobilized and posted to Commands across the nation.
